Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®

Understanding your psychological type is useful in understanding work habits, decision making, communication styles, and team interactions. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a highly researched, nonjudgmental instrument that reports on an individual’s preferences on four different dimensions of personality, which are combined into a psychological type.

Respondents take the Indicator in advance of the program. During the workshop, they receive a complete MBTI analysis of their personality type. Through lecture and exercises, they will gain insight into themselves and others that can promote more productive interpersonal interactions.

Explanation of MBTI

A brief overview of the concepts of individual personality types.

Individual Assessments

Each participant receives a complete analysis of his/her type, including preference scores and a detailed description of their type.

The Four Preference Areas

A thorough explanation of each preference area, revealing the differences in how people:

  • focus their awareness and obtain their mental energy:
    Extraversion or Introversion
  • acquire information and gather data from the world around them:
    Sensing or Intuition
  • make decisions and communicate their judgments:
    Thinking or Feeling
  • deal with their environment, people and information:
    Judging or Perceiving

Exercises powerfully demonstrate these preferences.

The Effects of Preferences

Participants learn how personality type plays a significant role in determining what kind of work environment people prefer, how they communicate, how they manage projects and interact with people. This gives them insights into their own behavior as well as an understanding and appreciation of those who are different.

Team Type

The team type reveals the collective preferences of team members. Every team takes on a “personality.” Understanding the dynamics of their team will help members manage potential areas of strength and weakness and work more productively together.
